From April 25th to May 1st, 2019, I had the incredible opportunity to accompany Bli Ketut, a talented programmer, on a business trip to Gammara Hotel in Makassar. Our task was to conduct system maintenance and perform data reconciliation on the hotel’s Property Management System, Trobex. This experience became one of the most memorable milestones in my career as an IT Support professional.
During this trip, I was entrusted with managing the hotel's data and providing training to the staff on how to effectively use the Trobex system. This assignment not only allowed me to deepen my technical knowledge but also honed my communication and training skills. Working directly with the hotel staff, I learned how to translate complex technical processes into user-friendly instructions, which proved invaluable in ensuring the team could efficiently operate the system.
The trip emphasized the significance of thorough system maintenance and the need for precise data management to ensure smooth hotel operations. Moreover, it gave me a firsthand understanding of the practical challenges users face daily, enhancing my ability to anticipate and address their needs. This experience has undoubtedly shaped my career, further solidifying my expertise in the tech industry and providing me with valuable skills that I continue to apply today.
