Implementing WA YANDUAN at Jakarta Metro Police

Implementing WA YANDUAN at Jakarta Metro Police

On December 21, 2022, I was tasked with a significant responsibility—conducting a training session for the WA YANDUAN application system that I had developed alongside my team. The session took place at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police headquarters, where I guided the officers through the functionalities and usage of the system. This application, designed to streamline the reporting process via WhatsApp, is an essential tool for law enforcement, ensuring that reports can be managed efficiently and effectively without requiring citizens to visit a police station in person.

During the training, I explained the key features of the system, including how it facilitates the submission of complaints and the follow-up process, making it easier for officers to manage public grievances. The session was also attended by officers from various regional police departments under the jurisdiction of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, including the West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, East Jakarta, North Jakarta, and South Jakarta police departments. My goal was to ensure that every officer understood the system's capabilities and could use it to enhance their daily operations.

This experience was not only about implementing a new system; it was about fostering better communication and trust between the police force and the public. By equipping the officers with this knowledge, we are taking a significant step towards a more transparent and responsive law enforcement system. The successful rollout of WA YANDUAN across the region marks a milestone in our efforts to leverage technology for the greater good.
